- A credit card with a picture
- A service photo identity card issued by the federal government, state governments, UT governments, PSUs, or banks
- Freedom Fighter/Pensioner Photo Card
- The Kissan Photo Passbook
- State, Central, and PSU-issued CGHS, ECHS, ESIC, Medi-Claim, and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) cards with photos
- A handicapped medical certificate or disability ID card issued by the relevant federal, state, or territory governments
- Photo ID cards and certificates issued by the federal or state governments, such as MGNREGA/NREGS job cards, Jan-Aadhaar, Bhamashah, Domicile Certificate, and Resident Certificate
- ST/SC/OBC certificate accompanied with photo
- A valid photo ID or school identity card issued by an accredited educational institution (during study course period, i.e., when on the rolls only)
- School Leaving Certificate (SLC), School Transfer Certificate (TC), Head of School Extract of School Records, SSLC book, SSC certificate, Board/University Mark Sheet with name and photo
- A bank official's cross-stamped name and photo in a bank passbook
- Transgender ID card or certificate issued in accordance with the 2019 Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act
- Minority communities in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, including Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and Christians, are granted a valid Long-Term Visa (LTV) in addition to a valid or expired foreign passport from their place of origin
- For foreign nationals who have spent 182 days or more in India over the course of a year, a valid visa and foreign passport (valid only) are provided
A certificate of identity issued in accordance with the UIDAI standard certificate format for enrollment or updating by:
- Municipal Councillor, MP, MLA, or MLC
- Tehsildar, Gazetted Officer Group "A," Gazetted Officer Group "B," and EPFO Officer
- Head of a recognized shelter house or orphanage, warden, matron, or superintendent
- Acknowledged Educational Institution, attested to by the Institute Head
- Village Panchayat Secretary or VRO or equivalent (for rural areas), Village Panchayat Head or Mukhiya or equivalent authority (for rural areas)
- If a resident wants to change their full name or first name, they must submit the Gazette notification of the new name along with any supporting proof of identity for the previous name, including a photo (even for the first occasion of the full name or first name change)
- For Name Change Exception Cases: Divorce Decree
- Adoption certificate for name changes exceptions
- If a resident undergoes surgery to change their gender, a medical certificate from allopathic physicians is required.
Proof of Date of Birth (DOB) Documents for Aadhaar Card
You can submit any of the following documents to ascertain your date of birth:

- A DOB Certificate on letterhead issued by a Group A Gazetted Officer.

Documents Required for Children’s Aadhaar Card
The documentation needed to issue Aadhaar cards to children is the same as those necessary for normal applicants. Besides documents required for normal applicants, one of the parents must produce their Aadhaar card. Children under the age of five years are exempt from providing biometric information.
Once children reach the age of five years, their biometric data is collected.
The documents needed for an Aadhaar card for a child over the age of five years are as follows:

Required Documents for Long-Term Visa Holders, OCI Cardholders, and Other Resident Foreigners in Nepal, Bhutan, and India
Listed below are the required documents for Aadhaar card applications for OCI cardholders, LTV document holders, Nepal and Bhutan nationals, and other resident foreigners:
For OCI Cardholders
A valid OCI card.
A valid foreign passport. Residents who have resided in India for a minimum of 182 days in the last year can use this as ID proof.
For Long Term Visa (LTV) Document Holders
A valid Long Term Visa (LTV) document.
A valid or expired foreign passport from the original country of issuance for minority communities of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, including Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis, and Christians.
For Nepal and Bhutan Nationals:
Passport of Nepal or Bhutan for nationals of Nepal or Bhutan.
If a passport is not available, any two of the following documents with the same address can be submitted:
Nepalese or Bhutanese Citizenship Certificate.
Voter identity card issued by the Election Commission of Bhutan or Nepal.
Limited validity photo identity certificate issued by the Nepalese Mission or Royal Bhutanese Mission in India.
For other Resident Foreigners:
A valid VISA.
A valid foreign passport. Residents who have stayed in India for a minimum of 182 days in the past year can use this as identity proof.
A valid registration certificate or residential permit issued by the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) for resident foreigners (excluding OCI card holders, LTV document holders, and Nepal or Bhutan nationals). This document can be used as an address proof.
